Founded in 1970, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) is
an international industry association with a membership that represents more
than 2,000 high-tech companies. SEMI members offer equipment, materials,
products and services to the semiconductor, flat panel display, MEMs and
photovoltaic industries. To support these global industries, SEMI has offices
in every significant manufacturing region: Asia,
Europe,
Japan, and
North America.
SEMI’s primary goal is to help its members explore new business
opportunities and strengthen the links with their customers, industry,
governments and enterprise leaders. The organization is led by a Board of
Directors comprised of industry executives representing various geographic
locations and company sizes. As a
neutral industry organization, SEMI addresses key issues that transcend

The first SEMICON China was held in 1988 and has been the fastest growing
semiconductor exhibition in the world. SEMICON China is a world-class
